Heal: Herbal Infusions

Whole civilizations of people have relied on the nourishing medicine of plants and herbs for thousands of years. Today we have access to gorgeous amounts of micro nutrients within herbs that we can prepare right in our kitchens to help heal and support us internally leading to skin health as well!

  • To prepare your Nettle and Clover infusions start with a clean glass jar that has a lid.
Bring 8oz of spring water to a boil on the stove.
Pour your 1oz bag of dried herb into the glass jar
Pour the boiling water up to the top of the jar and seal the lid.
Leave the jar out on the counter for 8 hrs or overnight while all the mineral herby goodness gets infused into the water.
In the morning (or 8 hrs later) strain the herb material out of the liquid.
Keep the liquid sealed in the jar and in the fridge.

  • You will want to drink 1 oz (or so) each day until the infusion is gone. Then repeat your infusion ritual with the next herb! If you use Nettle for the first week, switch to Clover the second week and then back to Nettle and so on. Taking little (homeopathic) doses of a single herb each day allows your body to create a relationship with the material and fully assimilate all the magic.

Here’s why I love Nettle: Rich in vitamins A, C & K, Iron, Potassium and Silicon which are all helpful and usually lacking in our bodies. Nettle also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help ease inflammation throughout the system.

Clover is pretty great too: Clover is mineral rich and cooling. It is believed to help balance hormones thereby alleviating menopause symptoms, fights against inflammation in the body and skin and makes hair and nails stronger.
